Making it last
A well-done blowout at Isla can last 3 to 5 days. The key is dry shampoo refreshes, sleeping on a silk pillowcase, and keeping the roots dry between washes.
If you have a multi-day event, ask your stylist about a 5-day blowout strategy. We can plan the schedule and the products to make it work.
Pre-blowout prep
Come with day-old hair if you can. Freshly washed hair has less natural texture and tends to go limp faster. Day-old hair has the right amount of natural oil to hold a shape and last longer through your event.
If you have very fine hair, ask about volumizing prep products at your appointment. If you have thick or coarse hair, mention any heat-protection concerns. Your stylist will adjust the products and technique to fit your hair type and the look you want.
Pair it with your color appointment
Every full color appointment at Isla includes a blowout or haircut as part of the service. You do not need to add a separate blowout. If you want a specific finish (bouncy curls, sleek straight, beach waves), tell your colorist at the start of the appointment so they can plan the finish into the timing.

How long does a blowout take at Isla Studio?
Standard blowouts take 45 to 60 minutes. Curls or special-event styling can take up to 90 minutes. Bridal styling is its own appointment and runs longer.
How long will my blowout last?
A well-done blowout lasts 3 to 5 days depending on your hair type and activity. Fine hair tends to lose volume sooner; thicker hair holds longer. Dry shampoo and a silk pillowcase make a real difference.
Can I get a blowout the day of my event?
Yes, and we usually recommend it. For most events, the day-of blowout reads freshest. For bridal, we typically book the bridal styling appointment for the morning of.
Do you do beach waves and curls?
Yes. Mention the finish you want when you book: sleek, bouncy, beachy, polished curl, or full Hollywood wave. Different finishes use different techniques.
What if I want a low-maintenance blowout for everyday?
We can do that too. The everyday blowout is more about the right cut and product than about heat styling. Talk to your stylist about a haircut + blowout combo that works for your normal week.
Can I add a blowout to my color appointment?
Every color service at Isla includes a blow dry or haircut as part of the price. You do not need to book a separate blowout if you are already getting color.
